           hese days, good service seems to be getting harder and
        Tharder to come by.  If you have tried to call a customer
        service department at most big companies today, more than
        likely, you walk away frustrated and sometimes not even re-
        solving your problem.  The very first thing that tortures all
        of us when calling a customer service center is the recording
        that answers the call to explain what number or extension
        to dial depending on who or what you are looking for.  They
        almost always start the recording with, “Your call is very im-
        portant to us.”  Really?  Then why isn’t a human answering
        the call?

        hope that the person is conscientious enough and helps the
        customer with their issue.   Unfortunately, many custom-         Agent                       Agent
        er service representatives have little patience or empathy
        with the customer.  It’s almost as if they have a chip on their
        shoulder.  How dare you call them for help!

        To all those customer service people who are doing their job
        and are helpful, good for you, you are doing your job well.
        After all, isn’t this what you were hired for?  Businesses that
        understand the value of good customer service experience
        success.

        Our company was formed on this belief and our customer
        service team is always on top of its game.  It starts with an-
        swering the phones expediently and thoughtfully.  “Thank
        you for calling Health Insurance Associates and MedicareCT.
        com, this is ………, how can I help you?”  Answering with a
        smile on your face and a happy tone in your voice is also
        important.  We want everyone to experience a pleasant in-
        troduction.
