A Message From

ur Music Under the Stars summer concert series continues to be very
Opopular here in North Haven. One of my many goals when I first took of-
fice was to increase the number of summer concerts on our green to extend
until the end of August every year.
This year, our concert series continues to be every Tuesday evening at
7:00pm and features many great bands and tribute groups for our citizens Michael J. Freda
and guests who join us from other towns. I truly enjoy going to each concert. First Selectman
I enjoy walking through the crowd, I enjoy speaking with our citizens and
guests, and I enjoy dancing with our senior citizens.

Each week, I see the same warmth, happiness and relaxation of those who attend our concerts. I am proud of the way
our residents embrace people from other towns which creates a great view of our town. Many people from other
towns tell me that our concert series is one of the best in the area and that they truly enjoy coming to North Haven.

I am very grateful for the collaboration and relationships that we have with our business community and for their
generosity in underwriting the cost of our concerts. Our Police Department, our Fire Department and our Public
Works Field Operations always work behind the scenes to keep our concert attendees safe, and work to keep our
town green a desirable place to come to. Our Park and Recreation Department works very diligently all year long to
bring to us great bands for our listening and enjoyment.
As I look back, I have seen so many wonderful things at our concerts. I see how people can come together on a Tues-
day night during the summer to enjoy themselves, to relax and to spend two hours with friends and have a great time.
As I look forward, we will continue to bring to North Haven every year a great summer concert series with existing
favorite bands, and also some new and exciting bands.
As we look forward to the rest of this summer, our concerts will feature:

• July 2nd , Ragdoll- Frankie Valli Tribute Band
• July 9th , Simply Diamond, A Neil Diamond Tribute Band (Sponsor Recognition Night)
• July 16th , Southern Voice- Modern Country
• July 23rd , Timmy Maia Experience- Motown
• July 30th , The Classics – 50s and 60’s
• August 6th , Avenue Groove- Rhythm and Blues
• August 13th , The Pop Rocks – Ultimate 1980”s
• August 20th , Last Licks – Classic Rock
• August 27th , Primetime- Party Band

I would like to thank each and every one of you who have attended our concerts and also share with you the won-
derful feeling I have when people from other towns tell me how nice the citizens of North Haven are to be with each
and every Tuesday.
