P. 4
Dear Readers,
Happy New Year! Here’s to a healthy, drama-free 2022. I am always the “forever optimist” and
even I have to admit, it's been a tough start of the new year. But, as always, in our little town, all efforts
are being made to keep us safe and comfortable. My last event, Winter Wonderland went well. The
trees were stunning, we had music and I made snow. Of course, we had Santa and a whole bunch of
elves. It was fun! And I learned about the generosity of the Cert Team (story on page 16) and the talent
of the Silk and Satin Choir (story on page 12).
With each new event, I am so humbled by the amount of people that step up to help me.
I thank each and every one of you. And people like Jeff DeLuca from Infinite Nutrition and Andrea
Nappe who embrace every character I ask them to be, from a thriller dancing zombie to a bumblebee
to touring elves, you are both as crazy as I am. I don’t know what I would do without you. Visit Infinite
Nutrition and ask for an “Everything Blue” tea. It is my very favorite, until Jeff names one after me! I’m
thinking the Jilly-Bean, just in time for Easter.
Be sure and stop in Doghouse Grille and meet Lisa, the new owner. Ask to see pictures of her
gorgeous custom-made cakes. Then stop next door and visit Walter Mann at Carbone’s and Bianca at
Jill DeChello our new Golf Cove, virtual training facility. For a small town, we really have everything. And I met the
North Haven Fairgrounds people, Jeanne and Michael. How lucky are we to have a fairground in our
Editor town? I'm hoping to have an event or two there this year.
And finally, I have included a coupon sheet in this magazine. Please use the coupons and
support our advertisers. I will be reissuing this coupon sheet throughout the quarter. If you'd like to be
put on the e-mail list, email me at [email protected]. It is so important for us to support our local
businesses. Please help me.
