A Message From

          THE TOWN OF NORTH HAVEN

ne of the most important measures for a municipal government is the state
Oof its Grand List. A Grand List is the barometer for how a municipality
is doing in terms of growing or adding to its top line revenue and is also an
indication of how a municipality is performing in the area of economic devel-
        opment.
                                                                                      Michael J. Freda
I am pleased to report that our Grand List has grown significantly this year
which we will capture credit for starting this coming July 1st. Our growth for First Selectman
this upcoming fiscal year is 2.8%. This represents one of the largest Grand List
increases in the Greater New Haven Region, and will also represent an additional $2,300,000 in top line revenue
growth for our town starting on July 1st of this year.

This significant growth comes at a very good time for us as we are preparing for our upcoming fiscal year budget,
and at a time of great uncertainty regarding the State of Connecticut and the potential loss of state aid as a result of
        certain state initiatives.

The contributing factors to our Grand List growth are a result of several partially completed projects that we have
been working on such as the Amazon facility, the renovation of the North Haven Shopping Center, the renovation of
several plazas and commercial buildings here in town, and the nearly completed construction of the Leisure Care
Senior Assisted Living Facility at site of the old Clintonville Manor.

The brand new Land Rover dealership on Washington Avenue and the addition of a new heating and air condition-
ing company in town are just two of many examples of completed projects contributing to our top line growth.

Additionally, we are expanding with many businesses in town with companies like our largest tax payer, Medronics,
and companies like First Fuel, Key Bank, United Aluminum and Fleet Pride, all of whom are reinvesting upgrades
into their facilities here in town.

Later this month at a Chamber of Commerce event, and again in April at our town Economic Development Break-
fast, I will be addressing the North Haven business community to provide them my annual state of the town ad-
dress and to thank them for their continued support of North Haven.

As we move forward, I continue to be 100% optimistic and 100% confident in our ability to bring new businesses
to our town and to continue to grow our top line Grand List growth during uncertain times. North Haven continues
to be on the right track for future success and we will not be derailed by any initiatives that may be designed to
        compromise our great town.

This administration continues to have a great deal of energy, a great deal of focus and a great deal of passion for
both our town and in the continued pursuit of excellence and in delivering positive outcomes.

I am very grateful to each of you for allowing me to represent you and allowing me to serve our wonderful commu-
        nity.

        Sincerely,
        Michael Freda
