10 Team On A Mission
Dear Readers, by Mike Proto
Winter is here! I have to admit, it’s cold,
but I love every minute of it. The snow is
so peaceful for me. I love to watch it fall 14 Orchard Hill Junior H.S.
and walk in the snow with my dogs. Snow by Susan A. Iverson
scrunching is a favorite sound for me. And
it is just so pretty! For the warm-weather
lovers, it’ll be here soon enough. Put on a Content
sweater, drink some hot cocoa and enjoy

I have tons of plans for 2024. On the event 22 I'm Not Famous
side, I’m thinking of a Chili Cook-Off, a
follow-up Meatball Competition, Town Heroes of Yesteryear
Trek, a Murder Mystery, a Farm-to-Table 26
Dinner, a Alice in Wonderland Teddy Bear Tom Grillo
Tea, The Pumpkin Patch, an Interactive Elf Jill DeChello The Elves are Back In
Gingerbread House and, of course, The Editor 30 The North Pole
Magical Elf House. It was held this year in
North Haven and so well received. Done in a larger venue, we 32 North Haven Champions
accommodated over 350 children who all met Santa, Mrs. Claus,
the Grinch, a ton of elves and all left with their own elf and an 34
amazing J Cakes cookie. (see page 30) Also, I received a gift from The Wonder of Wolves
Mrs. Claus – a t-shirt that says, “You’ve been DeChello’d.” That’s the
phrase used for once you agree to do one event with me, you’re 36 Coupons
with me for life! It’s true. Join me!
37 Find The Business
Congratulations to our high school football team (see page 32) & Past Issue Winners
and a HUGE thank you to my sister, who introduced me to my A Message from the First
sportswriter, Mike Proto. Sports is not my thing and he keeps me 40 Selectman
updated on everything. Now, if Bravo moves in and there is a “Real
Housewives of North Haven”, I’m all over it!
