Happy Spring Everyone,
Everyone knows I enjoy the Winter and even with so
little snow, I managed to make a tiny snowman this
year, but it still counts. I haven’t missed building one
every year since 1997.
But I admit, Spring has its advantages. I love the center
of town when the cherry blossom trees are in bloom. I FEATURED
enjoy the whole process, the buds and the expectation
of blooming, the pinkness of the flowers and watching
them fall. They look like pink snow. And lilac is my very Divide and Conquer Your
favorite flower and are here for such a short time. I can 6 Perennials
remember my mom and I driving around North Haven
looking for off property lilac bushes to clip. My Mom by Sally Brockett
would send me with the clippers and then yell through
Jill DeChello the car window, “Hurry up, you’re gonna get arrested.” NH - Andersonville Prison
We’d laugh so hard, fill the car and ALWAYS head to
Editor Dino’s. It was her favorite. It’s a forever memory for me. 10 Connection

So new in town . . .the announcement of Home Goods. Much anticipated
by the town. I’m obsessed with dishes, so I’m happy. I’ll be launching the
Dr. Stephen W. Hoag Writing Competition in North Haven this fall. I held my
first fundraiser for it, the Cosmic Cocktail Party at the Golf Cove a few weeks 14 Following A Legend
back. So fun. See the story on page 20. Dr. Hoag is also doing a book signing by Nick Girdano
in North Haven on May 13 at the library. Please come, meet him, and bring
me lilacs.
Stay tuned for a fashion show or two, a murder mystery and a possible elf
invasion this year. I am always looking for volunteers and sponsors for the
upcoming events. I am blessed to work with an amazing group of people.

Please stop me if you see me. I met a gentleman in the FedEx office in the
center and he was really disappointed we did not do the Find The Business
game anymore. So, this issue it is back and just for you, nice man. Thank
you for telling me and thank you to everyone for supporting North Haven CONTENT
Magazine.
