Dear Readers,
I’m sure not everyone will be happy to hear this, but I can finally say, “Winter is Coming.” And
I love the Fall too so I’m definitely in my happy zone. All the good stuff happens in the colder
weather – falling leaves, pumpkin EVERYTHING, the Holidays (starting with my birthday and, yes
20
it should be a holiday), the food, Christmas cookies and snow days. I’ve already taken out my
couch blanket, cranked down the air (sigh) and started planning. I will be doing A Night at the
Pumpkin Patch again at The Landing of North Haven in October. So excited. I have lots of plans
to add more pumpkins, some spooky displays and maybe reprise my role as the Spider Queen. A
Winter Wonderland is also scheduled for December at The Landing of North Haven. Once again
it will benefit the Italian Youth Foundation. If you missed it last year, don’t miss it again. It was
beautiful. Lots of decorated trees, sparkly lights, Elves, Santa, and of course, we even had snow.

This issue is the 20th issue of North Haven Magazine and, of course, I think it should be celebrated!
How many 20th Issue-versaries does one get? There is a special contest for readers in this issue
on page 34. My way of saying thank you. I know that the magazine would not be successful
without you and, of course, my advertisers. I thank you all that supported and encouraged me
through the years. Over the years, I hope that I portrayed our little town as you see it also – a
warm, welcoming community that is rich in history, wonderful people and is a very special place
