Hello Everyone!
This is turning into such a busy summer! As the restrictions lift and masks come off, activities are
starting up again in our little town and I am so excited to be a part of as many activities as possible
(even if it is hot!) During the pandemic, on many occasions, I had no idea who I was talking to
behind their mask, where my red hair made me easy to spot! Not fair. As much as I enjoyed the
challenge of having to work around the pandemic, holding a truly successful Pumpkin Patch,
Winter Wonderland and Spring Festival event, I am thrilled to be returning to more standard
events and, boy do I have a lot coming up. I am again working with Steve from Stellatos on this
year’s Farm to Table Dinner that benefits the Historical Society and Daytime Gardeners. This
year we are hoping for 150 people. The Ct. Chowder Company, Sam’s Place and Sylvia’s are also
helping and I am thankful for all of their support. I am planning a fashion show this summer with
clothing from The Red Barn Boutique and Gifts, owned by another amazing North Haven resident,
Rita, that always supports my town projects. I am happily planning Town Trek for the Fall. I missed
doing it last year. And . . . my 20th Issue-versary! The Fall issue will be the 20th issue of North
Haven Magazine. I can remember starting the magazine in 2017, being so unsure if I could even
do it, never really having been a sales person. I am so grateful to my Publisher, Roger Dietz,
for giving me the chance. I don’t know what I would do without the magazine. I love each and
every issue and it has become such a huge part of me and my life. I admit visiting the advertisers
was what I missed most last year. So now, I am happily be-bopping around town, stopping in
everywhere I can, just to say hello and catch up.
