Dear Readers,
I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine and the gorgeous weather. This Spring is almost like a new
year for us all, with restrictions starting to lift. I had both my vaccines done at our Recreation Center, and
I have to thank the kind and gentle people from the Quinnipiac Valley Health District (Richard and Ann,
that’s you!), Andy, the town employees, our fire police and cert team. Everyone was so nice and believe
me, I was scared and a really big baby. I have to admit, it was a quick and painless experience. I’m busy
working on the Spring Fantasy Drive Through event on May 1 and May 2 at The Landing of North Haven.
It is going to be spectacular! Bubbles, flowers and a whole lot of fantasy. I hope you all get to see it. I
had the pleasure of working with the Education Foundation on a $10,000 kitchen upgrade raffle and just
committed to a Farm to Table Dinner on August 11 to benefit the Daytime Gardeners and Historical Society.
Steve from Stellatos is again working with me on this project (whether he likes it or not!) I’m hopeful Town
Trek and the Chili Cook-off can happen this fall. I’m also creating a cookbook with recipes from our local
businesses and residents. The money from sales will go to projects on our town green. Send me recipes,
please!

So much good stuff happening! I’m thrilled that Dino's is moving a little nearer to me. I will be 15 minutes
closer to my fried combo order and birch beer. And right next door to Dino’s, if you haven’t met Sylvia,
Jill DeChello the new owner of the Sylvia’s Confection Connection, go visit. She is a sweetheart, a tiny little bundle of
Editor energy. She is perfect for our town. And, like everyone, I am thrilled about all the new “stuff” coming!
Jersey Mikes, 5 Guys and a Mexican Restaurant. Yum to it all!
I have decided to walk my slightly chunky dogs on the green this year, so look for me being dragged
around and please stop me to give me your thoughts on what you would like to see in the magazine or
bring me a recipe!
