When our 23 year old son, Marc, passed away in 2008
from a tragic automobile accident, my wife and I were
thrust into a world of despair and one in which we had
no idea of how to cope. Our lives were transformed in an
instant and all the things that we thought were important
were suddenly insignificant. While we’ve experienced
a rollercoaster of emotions, we have also been able
to channel our grief into helping others who also face
incredible challenges.

We are happy to have made a difference in the lives of many families over the past
10 years. While we give what we can, experiencing the gratitude from these families
and seeing the effect our help has made is immensely satisfying. The funds we raise
come predominantly from our annual Marc Anthony Casella memorial event, which has
varied over the years. We have had golf tournaments, breakfast events and our most
recent is the Clam Bake and Barbeque at Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven. We
also receive corporate donations and sponsorships. Most recently, we have received
thousands of dollars in anonymous donations which, not only is incredible, but has
made even more of a positive difference in the lives of these families.
